Firefighter’s Caroling for Kids Christmas RECAP

Hydrants and Hearts is pleased to announce that our 1st Annual Carolling For Our Community was a great success. 30 firefighters sang their hearts out for a little over 12 hours all over Regina.  A couple hiccups along the way but we prevailed and the day was one to remember.

What an unbelievable experience and we can’t thank the citizens of Regina, local restaurants, businesses, and bars for their hospitality, generosity and care in supporting our cause.

The excitement, understanding, and acceptance we were shown was heartwarming to say the least.

Special thanks and honourable mention to those that made the day such a success.

  • Peekaboo Limousines for coming through in such a big way for us and for the discount price that allowed us to raise more money for the charity. Thanks, Ross for putting up with us all day.

  • Juliana’s Pizza for providing the carollers with a much-needed meal.  This is the second time Juliana’s Pizza has been there for Hydrants and Hearts and we can’t thank you enough.

  • Allied Printers & Promotions for their support with our Christmas hoodies, and signs.

  • Tim Hortons Vic East for their donation, coffee, and cookies so we were able to show our thanks and appreciation to the nurses and staff in the Emergency Room, Mother/Baby, and The Pediatric Unit at The General Hospital.

  • Earls Kitchen and Bar South for their generous donation and the much-needed beverages for our tired voices and sore throats.

  • Big Thanks to 92.1, mornings with Mark and Jess for the much-needed shout-outs.

  • Ramada Plaza for their hospitality and generous donation.

  • Superior Forklift for their donation. Sorry, we couldn’t make it by for a quick visit.

  • To all Regina Professional Firefighters Local 181 employees for their continued support and monetary donations to support our cause.

  • Specifically firefighter Chris Rugg for donating back his 50/50 winnings and 4 Platoon donation totaling $1,000.

  • Taylor @ Orenda Design Studio for her support, and donation of her time updating and running our social media pages all day and night. You’re the best!!!

Last but not least, big thanks to everyone that went online and donated while we were down and out with a broken bus.

You lifted our spirits and made a huge difference in our Grand Total.

Our Grand Total for our 2022 Carolling for our Community was $12,100

We couldn’t be happier with the support from all of you. All money raised will go to our Christmas Campaign for 2023.

But we can and want to do better…

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Although we’re elated with this year’s total there are so many more families and children we would love to offer our support and a proper Christmas experience.  The costs are great to run an event like this and that’s where WE NEED YOU.

Please get in touch with us if you or your company would like to sponsor or form a partnership with us for 2023’s Christmas For Our Community.  We could use the help and we know the families could use yours too.

We thank you from the bottom of “Our Hearts”
