Our Story

HYDRANTS & HEARTS is a brand new non-profit Charity in the City Of Regina.  We’re comprised of The Regina Professional Firefighters Association Local 181 and all of it’s members.  We are an incorporated non-profit registered with Canada Helps.

OUR COMMUNITY.
OUR CALL.
OUR COMMITMENT.

Our Community

We work for our community.  The community of Regina pays our salaries.  We would like the opportunity to show our support and more importantly give back to our community through donations, programs, volunteerism and annual events.  We want our community to know we care and they matter.

Our Call

We believe it’s our responsibility to show our concern, empathy and care to the community we serve.  It’s not enough to just answer the call when we’re working.  We believe that to see a change, to have an impact, and to make a difference, more can be done.  It’s our duty and privilege to answer that call.

Our Commitment

We are committed to being contributing members in our community for the long haul.  Hydrants and Hearts is dedicated to offering assistance to those that need it the most.  We are partnering with other non-profits in Regina that need both financial support and volunteers  to run their programs successfully.  This includes but is not limited to non-profits like ECIP Early Childhood Intervention Program, KidsFirst, SCEP  Socialization, Communication and Education Program for Young Children and their Families, and Carmichael Outreach Inc.

Regina Professional Firefighters Association Local 181 members have generously donated over $32,000.00 this year for start up costs for the charity and to have an impact in our inaugural year.  We are also committed to using a little over $17,000 annually of our own money to support this charity in its causes and it’s mission.
